Looking forward to where you take this blog, John. You're locked & loaded in my feed-reader:-)

I have been mentally fumbling around in this area for years as well, it seems, and I recently came across some encouraging related thoughts in this TED talk by Sir Ken Robinson. One of the clincher quotes for me in his talk is very similar to what you've said here: ""If you're not prepared to be wrong, you'll never come up with anything original..."

Creativity absolutely takes courage, and I hope to join you on the journey of sharing utter crap with people with the hope of unearthing a gem from time to time.
